It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Denise Wing of Academy National Mortgage. My husband Glenn and I have bought and sold eight homes during our 40 years of marriage. The last six homes were purchased and sold since 1991 averaging slightly more than 3 years in a single location, some more, some less. All of our homes have been located in the suburban Denver metro area. You could say we have a little bit of gypsy in our blood or we just crave a change of scenery. Although I’m sure this doesn’t set any records for moves, it always generates an apprehensive response from our family members when we break the news of yet another decision to move on. I sometimes joke that we are part of the witness protection program! And I don’t even hold a real estate license! We could call that a missed opportunity.

The point of telling my story is that I guess you could say that we have had some experience with the process itself. In addition to my personal experience I spent some time working with three successful realtor’s in the boom of the 1990’s and lived vicariously through many clients during my employer’s business transactions. During that time I learned a lot about the business. Not everything goes smoothly. There are many pitfalls that can occur without careful and conscientious attention to detail.

Denise exemplifies the professionalism and expert customer service skills that makes the process run smoothly and in the end, successfully. During my initial conversation with her while we were conducting a preliminary “fact finding” interview I discovered that Denise asked the questions that determined just what product was right for us considering our specific circumstances. She proceeded to explain the alternatives and how each option would or could benefit me. She listened carefully when I explained our goals, priorities and concerns. Denise was able to respond quickly and thoroughly with questions and answers to assist me with clarity and no pressure or sales jargon. It was as if I was talking to a friend who was knowledgeable and capable in counseling me through this decision. I immediately trusted her and recognized her to be someone I could do business with. In this environment of distrust and fraud at all levels of business, with all the changes in regulations and rules, discovery and disclosure and compliance issues Denise gave me the confidence I needed to let go of my doubts and recommend her to my husband as a solution to our problem, sell or refinance. Denise helped me to see that even if It is not a good time to sell it is a great time to refinance. This will help to move us closer to our personal goal of preparing for Glenn’s retirement.

As we moved forward Denise was available for questions and even eager to travel across town to meet us outside of her office for the loan application making it quicker and more convenient for Glenn and I. That doesn’t happen every day. She was friendly and efficient and I immediately knew that she would be a trustworthy expert in her field. I have had a busy summer and I left all the details to Denise with every confidence that my loan process would go as well as I could have wanted. She went above and beyond to schedule our appraisal for us with very short notice since we would be gone on vacation shortly after we began the process. In correspondence either e-mail or phone I never had to wait long for her to return my call or answer my e-mail and each time I felt reassured that everything was in order.

The closing was not only effortless but surprisingly pleasant as we were able to do business with another very capable young woman who has learned her skills from a wonderful example.
